My Morning with Copina Co. - Featuring Amira Danan

Tell us a little about yourself!

Hi! I'm Amira Danan and I'm an actress and photographer currently living in Chicago. I'm originally from Oregon, but after coming to Chicago for college at Northwestern University, I fell in love with the city and decided to make it home after graduation last year. Some of my current faves include: being a plant mom (I'm still a beginner, but doing my best!), Lovecraft Country on HBO, and learning yoga.

What's the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

When I get up, my go to is drinking a full glass of water. I'm one of those people who needs to constantly remind myself to stay hydrated, so I figure if I drink a glass of water right when I get up, I'm already off to a great start!

What is one skincare product you can't live without in your morning skincare routine?

Okay so I've been trying out a LOT of new skincare recently, but I'd have to say one of my staples has always been the Supergoop SPF. It's so important to protect your skin, no matter the season/weather, and this SPF layers so well under my everyday makeup, I barely notice it's there!

How do you like to use Matcha Beauty in your morning and what do you like about it?

My favorite thing to do recently has been to have an iced Matcha Beauty almond milk latte in the mornings. I love this part of my routine because it not only gives me the energy boost I need (and tastes super yummy), but also gives me a moment to go out onto my balcony and be with myself for a second before I start my day. As an introvert, I always appreciate that little bit of me time.

What's one morning practice you can't live without?

A morning practice I can't live without would have to be making a to do list! I make one in the Notes app on my phone almost every day, and it helps me set goals and stick to them, and make sure that every day feels at least a little bit productive (plus checking things off on a list always feels amazing, let's be honest).
